ahhh!! it doesn’t fit

ive just bought a stealth box and the sub is too big

just wondering what would be the best way to make it fit??

spacer rings would look silly

any help would be great

wierd as i thought say uv got a 12" sub u order a 12" box the hole is always spot on on every sub iv its less than an inch id get a jigsaw and trim round it a little but if its inches i dunno

the depth is about 2.5 inches too shallow

ive got one stealth box and a choice of 2 subs to go in it

both of them have mounting depth of about 7 inches but the box is only about 4.5 inches deep

i would just some ideas on how to make either one of them to fit

Also boxes are normally "sized" to the sub, so therefore the volume wouldnt be right etc.

no it wont, the w6 will be sh*t in a crpa encloseure, get a propper sized box or u will regret it,

if u dont want the w6 i will buy it off u

You could make up an MDF ring that would act like a spacer, sitting on the outside of the box and making the sub fit.

what is the thickest mdf you can buy for a reasonable price??

18mm MDF in an 8x4 for 10.98 from B&Q.

Use your imagination i can think of loads of ideas but the guys are right you need the right size enclosure

IF you are desparate i have a new magnat sub that is 12" and would fit into that depth box

nahh i dont want another sub

its just i would have liked to change the box ive already got in my car cos its made from 25mm mdf coupled with the sub it weights about 30kg

get a different box, use the W6, sell the stealth box and other sub

yeah its just ive got no money at the mo to buy a new amp for the w6 cos its a dual 4 ohm version

also im not 100% sure about class d amps
