Air con into Phase 1 16v

is it possible to put air conditioning into a 16v when it didnt have air con b4???

nah it wud never fit in theres nowhere for it too go really wud be proper pain in the ass

i hav seen a j reg rt with aircon it was a left hooker tho dont think any uk ones came with it

no it was never an option on UK spec cars, id say its not worth it . would cost too much....might make it a bit cheaper if you used a 19 16v with air con as a doner.....if you can find one down the scrappy !!

some french versions have it i think! the haynes manual goes on about it!!

some french renault 5s had it too as i can remember seeing it in the haynes manual when i had my gtturbo, looked in the engine bay and thought maybe in a 1.0 N/A but there is noooooooo fooking way its guna fit in there with the intercooler, boost pipes turbo and a million hoses, lol

Loads of hastle dash out etc, and the engine management system will not know if you have got air con so I would expect the engine to stall on idle with ac on, forget it way to much hastle.
