Air Con Issue...

Hi guys,

I seem to have a problem with my air con in the mornings... It's fine every other time of the day... Freezing cold.

But in the morning it doesn't matter what I do it constantly blows hot.

Anyone had this issue or know what's up with it?

Infact it's not just the air con... It blows hot whether the ac is on or off.

It's really annoying me now!!!

I'd get it to an aircon service centre and get it recharged. It probably needs the gas purging and recharging.

Does it makes a "clunk" noise then blow hot? and only hot air no matter how cold you set it?

if so, its something to do with a plastic housing that the air con switch sits in or something, can be fixed with a cable tie. I'm sure someone else will be able to give you a better answer or a link to the thread.

Legend... I knew it wasn't something like re gassing as it is intermittent. Just gone out in it at lunchtime and it's hot again this could be a sweaty drive home!!

Tried the cable tie mod on mine and it still doesn't change temperature,
have to switch the engine off and on with a different temperature set and it works then, just doesn't change with the engine running

I've fixed it! That guide made it a lot simpler but it's an awkward mudderfukker!!!!!

I managed to get 2 zip ties around it by unscrewing the 2 closest screw and prising it back as for the life of me I couldn't get my man hands up there!!!!
