Air con leak

S'up

Took the 182 to ATS today to get a re-gas and within seconds of starting they called me over to tell me there was a leak in the system (which was clearly audible) and that in order to fix it requires basically dismantling the front of the car.

There has also been a small wet patch under the car on the drive which at first I though was oil but that seems to be ok - would it be coolant?

I can only assume this is going to cost plenty. Anyone recommend anywhere Staffordshire way that can the the job for less than a franchise type gaff like ATS?

Cheers

You wanna figure out if that wet patch is a coolant leak first, before worrying about the AC system.

Give car and rally services a call, they are in stafford, mention me, Ben from the ambulance service. They may not do a/c but they will sort you out.

Leaking radiator and air con condenser?
They are both quite exposed to rocks and other debris so it's a really common fault.

Presumably "common" doesn't equal "cheap to repair"?

Also, I haven't used the air con for a couple of days (seeing as it wasn't working anyway) and the leaking on the drive seems to have stopped.
