How much does it cost roughly ?

Been getting quotes, from £45 from sh*t fit, then £50 +vat from a mobile dude.

Todays dude wanted £60 +vat.

This is just to re fill it, nothing else. Or as it's not that good at all do I risk taking it into to renault ? (somethnig i'd rather not do)

Sounds about right mate, anything from £40 - £60 is an ok price for a re gass.

how do you know when it needs doing?

you want to be careful if you go to the real cheaper places . my dad had to has his regassed in his sri , and he went to some cheap place ( sounded good at the time ) then a week later had to have it done all again . but at a expensive place ( it lasted good then )

when it dont feel as cold as it should,, or get a little thermometer in the air vent and see what temp its blowin out at it should be 10 - 15 % lower than ambient temp ( outside )

I have a voucher for aircon at kwik fit, they gave me it 2 weeks ago after i got my air con filled lol, i was like thanks, if you want you can give me half its worth to save a few bob. And they test the temp and it really isnt accurate, "Right sir, the engine temperature was 90c before now the cabin temperature is 10c so you wont get this for free" lol. No honestly though they do make up the temperatures.

i might go to kwik fit and see what they do they wont be able to get mine any colder unless they over gas it.
