Air Filter

Hey, looking @ a air filter for my 1.2 clio

Would I need a full induction kit or any air filter? Does it have to be for a clio/1.2 or can it be universal?

just the filter.
you'd prob be better off gettin a clio one though id imagine.

universal ones on ebay for bout a tenner, would be ok.
top ones are £70-80 i think.

for a 1.2 just get a cheap one.
you wont get any real performance gains even with a K&n filter, just add some grunt to the noise.

I have this with a cold air feed, I have more acceleration and it gives a nice roar

Okay, cool.

Would a cheapo give me much noice, thats all it's for really. Plus on that website, theres all different cones is it down it persoanl pref?

And is it worth declaring to the insurance?

i had a pipercross one on my 1.2 sounded cool ...no difference at all like said in power though

Just get a cheapo one from halfrauds. A cold air feed will make no difference.

As long as it's an open cone it doesnt matter.

Dont buy a universal one, you'll never see anything that looks so cheap and wrong under the bonnet!

I imagine the cheaper they are the less they actually filter. You'll get a lot of noise at around 3.5k revs and over but performance gains aren't really noticeable. It does sound awesome though.

You could get a universal one, I think the only difference is how they fit to the car so you'll need an elbow or something to fit.
