Air sensor?

  Jap Box
Right, another one :(

Just had the lambda replacd to try fix the overfuelling, and the clip shows its all working fine now.

But the injection system light is still popping up and it still seems to be using slightly more fuel, but its not as bad as before.

Guy at the garage sai it could be a mix of things, forget the whole list as I got trashed later that night so its all a blur but I remember something about some air feed sensor?

Said it will get the right mix of fuel and air into the engine.

Now thinking about it, my airbox seems abit knackered, it roars slightly up higher revs so im thinking something along that line must be fucked.

I only have a chance to take it in on Friday, so before then does anyone have any suggestions? Nothings flagged up on dianostics.

Thanks

Manifold absolute pressure (Map) or Manifold air flow (Maf) not 100% just an idea

Telling the ecu dodgy stuff about how much airs going in so it thinks theres more air so means more fuel injected

Would of thought they would come up on diagnostics tho.

Ahh this sounds expensive to be honest!

Nope, nothing showed :S apart from the lambda reading -30000000, then replaced it and its displaying correctly now.

The "live data" screens should show what's not 100% right... CTS is the most common sensor that effects fuelling and running when faulty... also effects the Ho2 sensors as the car will fuel incorrectly (Normally on the rich side). The newer MAP Sensors are normally bomb proof and rarely go wrong (When they do, its normally because they're blocked/gunked up due to lack of servicing).

Ill get it looked into again on friday and see whats up, having a mate look at it too and check bits over before to see if he can spot anything minor.

Thanks for that
