airbag removal help

been to renault and they were fairly helpful.

whilst taking the dash offf (well trying) i have bent the metal clips that hold it to the airbag therefore i need to take it out.

are there any precutions i should take, disconnected the batt anything else??

Disconnect the battery and leave it 10 minutes.

Also Id personally (cos Im a wimp) pull the fuse on it.

You shouldnt need to leave it 10 minutes though a few seconds and it should discharge but best be safe rarther than pay a fortune (~£500) for a new airbag and airbag computer.
