Airbag reset

I have a clio dci 65, whilst driving along a dog ran out so i tried to avoid it and clipped a kerb. Drivers seat airbag and rear drivers seat belt pretensioner went off.

If i replace the seat, rear pretensioner and airbag ecu (like for like) will this remove the dash lights or will i still need clip?

Wont airbag ecu need clearing/resetting due to the airbag firing ? I had one on clip and the airbag ecu could not be reprogrammed due to impact data stored and airbag light permanently on. Df 175 impact detected information was stored.

I have a similar problem, slight impact and airbag ecu is now showing as locked. I’ve taken it out and it’s been to a specialist ecu testers and they are unable to reset it. Can I just source a second hand airbag ecu plug it in and job done? My current airbag ecu has a part number of 8200277316 and I’m struggling to find one with the same part number on eBay and the likes. I can find parts that are listed to fit my car (172 Cup) but different part numbers.

used are plug and play although they store the chassis number.

When i crashed my car i sent my airbag ecu off cost 20 pounds from a dude off ebay ,the serv light and air bag light wont go out till things are fixed like if the pre tentioners have gone off and maybe things likr thr inpact censors on the sills, i do beleave that gettng a new ecu thats the same will still need programingvto the car

If you get a second hand one you just need the configuration programmed to match the airbags your car has installed. You’d be quite lucky to get one which perfectly matched unless you get one which has come from the exact same model I can do it for £20 if you want, drop me a PM or email cars@trackityt.com
