Airbags and pre-tensioners

  XC90, 330d, Trophy’s
As I've now removed all of the airbags from my 'in progress' track car build, and the fact that re standard seats with pre-tensioners have also been binned.

Has anyone else considered, or actually removed the wiring and associated control unit for these items?
Just curious how far back the loom side of it all went and how far you cut into it?

I'm already in the process of pulling the loom apart for relocating many electrical items so it's no big issue, but just wondered of anyone else had removed it all?

Cheers :)

Nevermind, all out and gone now.
Best part of another kg shed :D

Also pulled out all of the sound deadening from behind the dash aswell while I was at it, plus a few otter little bits not needed within the dash, another 3.5kg gone aswell.

I'll progress with the diet in the morning :D

I'll have to have a peeky now I'm back indoors :)

I want it as light as possible, hopefully :)

Mines all gone now, drove it back into the garage afterwards aswell.

I guess being an electrical engineer on the railway made me do it logically and just work one wire back at a time and take my time, nothing to it really.

Ah I see, I wouldnt be doing it if it was my daily car either.

This is to be an out and out track car, it's the only reason I bought it :)
