Aircon delete on the ph1

  Ph1 T
Just wondering how easy this would be as I have a cup that I'm breaking engine included that obviously doesn't have the Aircon,, is it a straight forward job or not worth it?

I never use the Aircon tbh but if it's a hassle I'll not bother

Easy enough to get mine off and put the other on? You can probably tell this is all new to me so sorry for stupid questions :)

Pretty much yeah, just careful releasing the air- con pipes, quite a bit of pressure lol

And highly illegal if you get caught, not to mention will probably kill you if you inhale it! lol.

But yes, if you've got the stuff, it makes perfect sense to remove the aircon.

Cheaper cambelt changes for the future too!!

I may aswell do it then while my engines out fitting the turbo ect

So literally remove all my Aircon fittings the just fit the cup alternator

do i need to change any of the pipework for PAS or is it same on the ph1?

It's different but if you're careful you can bend the standard ph1 one to fit. You'll see when you fit but it fouls the rad fan.

As for aircon hose, I just unbolted it and tied a bit of string then pulled it apart from a few meters away. I left it to bubble and hiss for 5 mins before going near it again LOL.
