Aircon fuse blowing...

hi,
have a problem with my aircon currently where as soon as you select aircon on the climate control it blows the fuse for the climate control. You can use the heaters etc but as soon as you select AC it blows the fuse.

any idea?

Short on the compressor clutch line? Had the exact same thing on my 1.6 after someone bolted the alternator onto the lead for it .

Does anyone have any ideas about this, my normal fan works fine but as soon as I switch on A/C it blows the fuse which is now driving me kin

ok another question, im guessing that whatever it uses to engage the aircon pump (servo??) is overloading the circuit and blowing the fuse, does anyone know were it is and what it is please

i changed the aircon pump on mine as i had one spare, fixed the problem

thanks, at least i now know its another french dodgy part fitted to the car
