aircon question

if i take my aircon out of my car does it make a difference to anything as have seen a few cars without it an dont understand why? :S
it carnt add for power can it ?:S

Aircon pump and accessories gone for less weight plus a fraction of power is lost with it on. Just to elaborate on morons post ^
