Aircon... solutions!?

PROBLEM: my aircon does not click when turning it on and blows hot air 80% of the time.. 20% its just cold air whch tbh isnt even that cold.. i assume its ran out of gas

so do i...

SOLUTION 1 ?? : get a garage to regass it!? 60 quid to do

OR

SOLUTION 2 ?? : go to halfords and buy the universel aircon regass canister and do it myself!?

is solution two posible!? is this what would fix my problem!??!?!?!?!?? or am i going to have to fork out 60 odd quid to get it done at a garage!?

Have you had it re-gassed in the past, when did it last work?

i bought the car like it lol... never been a big porblmem until now.. starting to annoy me and would like it sorted for when i come to sell the car.

problem is like i paid the £60 and found out tha my pipe was split. the one below the alternator and then i really wanted it fixed so had to pay £100 odd to fix it bout £150 i think for pipe and gas. check ur pipe as its a really common problem
