Well, I braved the ghetto and went over to Alans yesterday to swap over his sounds from his old 1.2 and put them in his 182. I was also kind enough to let Al clean my car. For all the slagging I give him about his ocd the man knows his stuff ;) Car came up really well after being clayed for the first time in 6 years and 75k so big thanks to Al for doing that.

I took a few pics throughout the day!

lol damn right he did!! Put some Megs stuff on them, think it was meant for tyres but spins off too easily. The only thing he didnt do was the inside, fair enough its a state at the mo! and the plastics as I've done them recently.

  No more clio's for me!
Apologies for this dumbass Q - why is the dash off? All that to install the amp power cable?

Cars looking sweet as tho matey! ;)

No its front comps as well with hidden crossovers in the dash.

Its a nice and subtle install.

Oh, thats a neat idea. Keeps everything nicely hidden. Cool.

nice one.
i have opted not to put any ice in my next 182 other than after market h/u and speakers.
i think some of the more hardcore members have got me thinking amps/subs are to much weight lmao...

The subs quite light tbh, I doubt Al will notice much difference with that install, different story when you start using false floors I guess

Rob, cheers, I like to think I know what Im doing!! 11 hours to do it all but cos all the wires had been precut and crimped that saved some time

Stoddie on our shape I can have the dash off in under 10 minutes, the airbag is easy as well just 4 bolts. I didnt take it out fully, just moved it off to one side.

Cheers lads. Yeah the bumpers will get redone again next time I clean it. Well pleased how well it came up. Only problem is whatever polish Al used has stopped my wipers working well so gonna have to redo the windscreen but thats a small price to pay!

  Octavia VRS
Good pics lads. Great work by both :)

John, your car came up mint! I need to get some clay when the new paint has settled methinks

Al, how's your mum enjoying the C1? Good to see your old motor!

Taking the dash out is a piece of p*ss with the guide - even I managed it. Stick got wiring/somthing rattling around behind the headunit area, doing my nut in.

Both cars looking good - actually seeing John's car clean is a nice surprise ;)
