Ive a 1999 1.6 8v RXE with a Renault fitted alarm. It is the Cobra Art.0144 that uses the original plip key.
It arms/disarms fine, but after a time the alarm activates for no good reason that I can see. It can take from minutes to hours (its gone off at 3am in the morning before now!). The diagnostic LED blinks 3 times which indicates an intrusion detection by the volumetric sensors.
Ive already fully charged the battery overnight which had no effect, and also tried blue tacking the sensors but no effect.
If I disarm the sensors by using the procedure explained in the alarm manual (3 quick turns of the ignition key to position II) then it doesnt sound but obviosly Im not then securing the car.
Anyone have any advise or experienced similar?
