Alarm went off when opening / some pulled mirror

Hi guys

I brought a 182 last weekend, been great so far, i am visiting my girlfriend this weekend and she lives in a rough part of town. I awake this morning low and behold some idiot pulled my wing mirror back last night.

Not a big one really i just pulled it back and checked it worked ok which it does, but when i unlocked the car to get in the alarm started going off? How come this happened? Why did it go off when i unlocked it this morning and not when people had been touching it?

Any ideas? Bit of a simple one but its bugging me.

Ah yeah i opened the door straight after unlocking, yeah scared the life out of me, these alarms would defo scare off anyone.

Yes the alarms were fitted at the import centre after they arrived in the UK.
