Just been out and had one of these on my tail, a white H-reg one with a middle age man driving. I let it overtake to see what it was: an Alfa 33 "16v".
At the next roundabout we left onto the dual carriageway side-by-side, and I instantly blasted past - although I did have the
hi Ben, it could have been the 4WD one that they did about ten years ago. They were meant to be pretty quick, a 1.7 16v. I think (but I maybe wrong) that they were a quad cam, too, though my 33 knowledge is a bit pants!
The thing was that apart from a tacky spolier, it didnt look very mean. The alloys/tyres were fairly small/skinny and the fact it was white probably did it no favours. But it was still a good fight - Id say it was better than a Mk1 RSi and near to a 16v in terms of performance.
