Alloy pedals

Is it safe to screw alloy pedals to the existing clio accelerator pedal, as this is plastic I dont feel safe doing it but do want to change the pedals?

Havent done it in a clio but did it in my VTR when I still had that. What I did was to buy a replacement accelerator pedal just in case. Because of the lack of space behind the plastic pedal due to it clipping on to the metal arm I nipped to B&Q and bought some self tapping screws with a similar head to the bolts supplied with the Sparco pedals and used them instead of the bolts supplied (just on the loud pedal though). When drilling the existing metal pedals I put a block of wood behind the pedal to give something solid to press against.

I imagine that it might be similar in your clio.

Hope that helps
