Alloy Wheel Question...

  leon cupra R

rigt now that we are begining to get sh*t weather i just wanted to know if many of you peeps with alloys decide to take them OFF so they dont corrode etc ....

i have standard wheels on my car for the moment as i took me alloys off to give em a right clean:D but am now deciding not to put erm back on because of the weather.. am i right by saying that the sh*ty weather can damage your alloys or is it just plain stupidity and i should throw them back on

Personally I leave mine on, but if you dont keep your car sparkling all through the winter you may as well use your standard wheels, and save your alloys until the better weather comes round again.

The weather wont damage your alloys any more than it damages the rest of the car.

i was wondering this as I have just bought a new set of 17s and having them fitted at the end of this week, but i figure if i keep them clean then there is no reason for any damage, so long as i dont get stupid in the snow (done that before).

I leave my wheels on. It handles better and goes much faster. Brake discs dont offer much grip, and they spark alot. lol.
