Alloy Wheels

Can anyone tell me the best size of alloy wheels to get for my 97 clio. Ive been thinking of getting 15 with 195/50 tyres. My mate has these on his clio but they rub with his arches. Is it just his car or will these do fine.

what model is it?

shouldnt rub, get 195/45s

its a 1.2 RL. So 195/45/15 should be fine then. My mates car must be bandjaxed. Do I need to offset the alloys?

I have the same car as you near enough and I have 195/50/15..

They do rub on the inside of the wheel arch.. on full lock slightly. Lowered my car 35mm all round.

On the back, the rear bumper catches (I think, or the arch lip, think its the bumper now though) on the tyre.. but the bumper is being replaced soon, so hoping new one doesnt do it.

iv got a 96 1.2 rl and iv got 16s, the rub on the inside at the back and on the back arches but iv now got them rolled and they dont!

ive got a 1.4RT and jus put 195/45/15s and they rub on full lock and one of the arch liners

Took the rear one out no probs jus need to remove the front one!

so u shouldnt have a problem jus remove the lining they only catch dirt as long as u clean where they should av been now and then it should be fine
