Alot of oil ...

Wondered if anybody could help.

Took the plastic engine cover off the other weak and noticed alot of oil residue on to top of the block and pools of oil sitting below the rocker cover (See pictures)

Oil level is fine after replacing oil, any ideas?

looks like the front of the cam cover could be leaking, if your cambelt isnt due, id just clean it up and keep an eye on it.

It often comes out of bolt holes. You can take the cam cover bolts out one at a time put some silicone sealant under the bolt head and torque back up.

That looks like the bolt holes as Mark says. It's pretty common.

I've sealed mine up with some black Loctite silicone sealant from Halfords.

Vvt solenoid seal is also common, it's around £15 from renault and just pushes in if you wanted to replace that too

If you do seal the bolts, make sure you only do one at a time, the rocker cover actually holds the cams in, so if that comes off, you are talking cambelt jobby to sort it.

Mine looks like this too but it doesn't lose enough oil per 6k miles to worry about it. Just keep an eye on the level and wait till next scheduled cambelt change.
