alpine type r subs...

got myself 2 1000w alpine type r subs in a box and now need 2 get my hands on an amp...wondered if anyone could tel me wat one i need...mate i got them off used a 500w amp but wat amp would make it loudest 600w 800w etc??

Whats your budget as to power them properly you would most likely want a 1ohm stable 1000w RMS (more is recommended) amplifier.

Which dont come all that cheap.

cheers lads...i dnt really hav that much 2 spend as am only a student but have seen a few 600w and 800w amps which r more in my price range..do u rekon these will b okay??

depends if they are 600-800watts rms,

i had a pheonix gold amp, 4 channels running 300watts rms each, bridged them to rum 2 12inch subs before and sounded the mutts, amp did cost £260 tho.

thanks mate, im not 2 good on all this as dnt really hav a clue about it lol...only really wanna spend like 30quid on an amp off ebay, doesnt matter wat it looks like n if its used...would anybody like 2 find me a gd one on ebay for in this price range...it would b much appriciated

mate they wont be woth 30 quid

the 600-800watts it going to be about 100w RMS tops

(as you can see i put rms in red as this is the only figure to look at when matching subs to amp and vice versa)

thirty quid will buy the worst of the worst. it will be gutless!!!! youll never get 100rms out of it. it will also come with built in interference! you need to spend more on a make that is well known!

thanks alot... i now no a lil bit more than a did 2 start wit! im really strugglin for money thou, 70quid max is bout my budget...would anybody b kind enough 2 search on ebay or internet and find me the best for this price range...i realise it wont get th full potential out of them but its better than nothin isnt it?

i would hook this up 2 my 2 12" alpine type r subs...but for time bein i hav 2 make do wit my standerd 4 door speakers, this a problem??
