Alternative Steering Wheel and Front Seats in my 172

  clio sport 182
Hi guys & girls, newbie here!

I've just bought a 2003 Clio Sport 172 for my fiancee, its the second one we've had now. I think they're fantastic cars bang for buck.

I've just taken some 17" alloys off and removed its big bore exhaust (parts now on fleabay lol)

They've been replaced with a standard exhaust and some nice deep dish 15's and am just about to fit some lowering springs as one of the standard springs has just snapped!

The future wife has agreed the steering wheel is far too bulky and we're not fans of the front seats either...

What alternatives have people used? Were there any limited edition, nicer bucket style seats ever fitted to the Clio or is there a wheel and/or seat set that people generally put in the Clio's from other marques to improve its comfort/look?

Could always go for the Recaros that were in the Trophy/megane etc but they are fairly pricey and as for steering wheels I would just look for a subtle OMP model

recaro trendlines that where in the trophy are the seats you want mate, there a bit pricey though. as for steering wheel either an OMP or the sabelt steering wheel.

there is someone on here in the for sale section selling a sabelt steering wheel with the boss for £50 plus a standard steering wheel

If you want to keep the airbag, then there isnt any alternatives but the Clio wheels, and whichever model they are from they are all just as big and bulky. If you are happy to loose the airbag then pretty much any aftermarket wheel will fit.

Personally I went for a leather retrimmed stock wheel as the standard coating melts off.

Thanks for the advice Guys. I'll keep em peeled for the trendlines then and look at wheel options. Not too fussed about the airbag but will also look at trimming options as mine too has started to melt off!
