The middle one looks most cat 'ish', though it may have a pre cat under the manifold.


I wouldnt cut one out no mate, get a different exhaust if you want it louder, exhausts are made to produce certain back pressure, and cutting a box out will alter it

Different shapes and sizes reduce the sound differently, I don't recommend cutting anything, either leave it standard or do it properly imo.

It will sound like it's blowing ie. a tractor, if you cut silencers out.

Are you sure these have cats in the manifold? The K4J and K4M engines in the mark2 ph2 clios had proper seperate cats.

Yeah 99.9% sure cats in the manifold .. the ktec system is a catback anyway .. and that goes up to just before the manifold

Yeah no Cat in the pics as there's no lambda's to go with it.

I personally wouldn't cut anything out, exhausts are manufactured to perform. Cut a box out and it may sound better but will have undoubtedly lost power.

Take the cat or baffle box out (centre section) and your car will sound like a Lion thats just been shot in the arse with a tranquiliser dart.

Not sure about the twingo but my k4m has a short mani & a gooseneck cat that sits right about where the mystery box does on yours. Have you not considered a different airbox setup?

IMO, butchering your exhaust sounds risky to potentially end up down on power/torque for the sake of how itd sound.

if the cats in manifold then yes theres 3 silencers, personally if money was tight Id get a universal back box

drill some holes in your airbox if you want a bit more noise lol, wouldnt cut away at a exaust thats in working order
