am i going mad!!

everytime i fill my car up it wont take more than 26 bucks and the fuel guage doesnt reach full!! it used to take alot more than that, whats up with it????

can anyone help me?

is it just clicking off? i know with my valver i have to hold it at an angle, to stop the cut off clicking in every 2 seconds!

it just clicks off but i cant get any more in no matter how much i angle it!!!

thing is that it used to take £35ish from empty before??

yea same probs wi my 306 xsi some pumps were worse than others,use to do my head in on fill up £45 sometimes and 500 clicks lol.

sounds like you got the same problem as my g/fs valver. it fills up but dont go to the top but lasts really long before the red light comes on like the whole measuring system has kinda shifted downwards (if that makes sense)

do u wait till the red light or just when it looks empty on the gauge? try seein how far it lasts untill the light actually comes on

well last time i filled up the red light was on and my computer said i had no more miles left til i had to fill up and it still on ly took £26!!! it really weird as it used to take at least £35 from red light.

its driving me nuts as i have to fill up more often, i just havent got a clue (unless the price of petrol has dramaticaly dropped round here, which i seriously doubt!)

does anyone know how many litres its supposed to take?

i dont get any clicks til 26ish then it stops totally, just strange that ive had the car for 6 months n its been fine til a couple of weeks ago - strange!

next time im gonna try n try n try n see wot happens!!

fuel gauge probably needs recalibrating - youre probably refueling with a tenner left in it still.
