AMD Athlon 64 X2 Black Edition CPUs

Does anyone have one fitted? I was looking at the 6400+ Edition - not bad for the price. Though I'm wondering if the clock increase to 3.2Ghz is enough to warrant the upgrade from my current 2.64Ghz?

Then again, if the Black Edition could easily handle 10% stock increase - that would be 3.52Ghz per core...

Have a look on toms hardware, they did some bumming around with it.

Wouldn't have thought it would be worth the extra difference to 3.2 but if you can clock it to 3.5 maybe.

Ive got one sat on my desk but i cant put it all together until i get the gfx card ive ordered

im tempted tbh. really really tempted, but them im stuck on a 3500+. so the jump will be worth it.

bargain, and itll be the last of the single core AM2 range, unless they go crazy and start using watercooling as standard.



THE ONLY reason i havent already got one is because im on socket 939. If i get a new processor, ill need a new mo bo, and new ram, and a new psu, and to top things off ill end up needing a new graphics card as itll cause a bottle neck.
