Amp - Home theater

So i've an - admittedly old - sony str-db830 amp.
http://esupport.sony.com/perl/model-home.pl?mdl=STRDB830

Now one of the channels has gone and the right speaker on the other channel has become, well intermittent.
Is it worth binning, or should i look at getting it repaired? No idea on what i would cost, or if it's worth repairing, but it's always done me faithfully.

If it's a case of soldering a few new bits in, i'm more than capable of soldering, just never looked at amps before and know nothing about them.

Thanks

Can you not pick one up second hand? No idea how old it is/what it's worth - havn't followed home hi-fi for a while. My Panny VXS D812 is still going strong!

i have the same problem, will probably just buy though... I would imagine once you start f**king about inside reliability will be zip
