Amp wire for a 172 Help

ok i have a 4 Gage Cable for the AMP, looked every where and cant get it through the bulk head the bonett relese is to small so i was wonderign what those others with a 172 did with theres?

Youre supposed to cut a bit out of the bonnet release grommet so that it fits. Thats how everyone (myself included) does it.
 


Passenger side, hand up under the sound deading, about a foot and a half up youll feel the cable, stick it through there. Comes out behind the deading in the engine bay, best off removing the small reservior to get to it.
 


No, in the engine bay there is a bottle thats either the brake fluid or cooling fluid. Ill have a look for an engine bay pic for you.
 


you will have to unclip/unbolt(i forget which) the resevoir from the bulkhead and pull the insulation out slightly i fed a piece of welding rod in though the footwell side and hooked it through the eyelet on the power cable and pulled it back through, as for the earth cable i unbolted the seatbelt catch in the centre of the rear seat base and bolted it in against that seems to get a good earth there. hope this is of some use
