Well for an amp to work you have to have a pre out in the stereo so basically a white and red plug in the back and a blue remote wire, im not sure what does which but one lets the amp know the stereos on and the other sends the music but without these no amp n sub mate, and tbh u'll probs have to get a new stereo just look for the words rca pre out on the box!!
you can do it but you have to get an amp that takes a high input signal or you can buy an adapter i think. as for the remote wire you can either wire it strait to your battery with a switch so you turn it on and off manually or if you have a volt meter test which wire from the back of your stereo goes to the ignition and wire it to that so when you switch the ignition on it turns on the amp too.
