Android Notifications

Been using the Huawei P20 mate pro for a week and i've got mixing feelings coming from apple. The notifications are no where near as good as IOS, possibly because you have to configure them all manually. I cannot get any notification detail or preview to show on the lock screen. So if i have a missed call for example i can't tell what number its from i have to go into the phone and into phone or pull down the notifications from the top to see who has actually called me.

Its the same for messages, facebook messenger, ebay etc.

Can anyone help?

I believe there's a privacy setting which limits how much info is shown on your lock screen.

Look into your lock screen and security settings?

I'd say it's the setup of the Huawei system.

My Pixel 3 works exactly how you want yours to be, i see missed called numbers and notifications on the lock screen.

Check in here...I think you may have it hiding sensitive content by default?

Yeah my Pixel 3 is the same, shows the details on the lock screen.

The Huawei is probably sending the data to the Chinese secret service instead.

Maybe you don't want your wife to see the missed call phone number of that piece of ass that's been calling you?

but it says it will only be shown when your face is recognised, at which point the phone unlocks anyway?

Maybe it's in case you don't like the facial unlock, but you do like facial notification details?

I'm not as fan of facial anything myself 🤣
