Any one willing to slagg or even mildly criticise them? The tendancy on here is to treat the man like he was made of china porcelain, or on the flimsiest evidence, a tuning guru.

Where are the much heralded but never seen new goodies? The whole thing is a complete farce, somebody correct me if you think I'm wrong.

Think its these wonder inlets or something iirc
(promised end of jan)?

My inlets were sexy, workmanship second to none :)

Most people (and there are many) who have been let down simply refuse to post about the issue so as not to give him any more exposure.

Thanks for your input

Never used Angelworks but have had plenty of advice from BenR over the time I've had a clio. Thoroughly genuine bloke imho.

Deffo. He has always replied to pm's and any emails i've sent, very detailed and honest. If i had engine work done, he'd be my choice :)

BTH, I've never used him as he has a reputation for not being the quickest worker on the planet when it comes to getting things done, say that the products he does turn out are usually rather good apparently.

lol i can see this thread getting out of hand! maybe he is as good as everyone says...? i havent heard a bad word, unless you have had a bad service/product you'd like to tell us about jack? :)

Anyone else bored of ja.jack?

If you dont like something, why keep on keep on slagging it off?

You've tried unsuccessfully a few times, give it a rest fella.

Not my experience:

I rang him at midday the other week, it went something like this......."Hello Ben, it's Steve V6 here from ClioSport...yeah yeah the naked bloke, lol. Anyway, was wondering if there's any chance of you doing me an oil change some time in the very near fututre.....this evening, great!! I'll see you at six then, cheers, bye" .............

......get there at six, very polite welcome, job done and i'm out the door in no time at all. One very pleased customer that will be giving Ben repeat work in the future.

Thats my findings, make of it what you want.

Cheers, Steve.

imo he takes his time to do the job properly and he is also very busy, iam a toolmaker and work to very fine tolerances and this takes alot of time and money to get it correct, ben imo is a perfectionist judging by his work and the responsives we get to any questions asked, he would be my first choice for any major work. all imo

Right then...

Jack had neither a bad service or product, he just didnt gain as much power as he was expecting from a rematched manifold.

Which is exactly that, a rematched manifold. If his manifold was pretty even in the first place, there isnt much power to gain.

From what ive heard, Ben offered to reverse the work, and offer a full refund, which Jack refused. He then wrote a thread saying he didnt gain much power, but was dead happy with the improved responsiveness.

He then changed his mind, and decided to write several more threads, slating Ben and his services, and aiming personal insults at other members.

Including wishing that i died of brain cancer...

(I havnt forgotten this ja.jack... )

I think its good to question the tuners on here but stating that angelworks are a complete farce is wrong.

From posts ive seen and the opinion ive gotten, Ben is very knowledgable and produces decent products. Time scales and delivery seem to have been issues tho.

S77CCP, why would people keep quite? What are the problems you hint at?

I had Ben do my inlet manifolds, the work was second to none. i had to wait a while for them but as he was trying out a new process of doing them i didnt mind, every company has to try new things for their benifit. As said Ben has always replied to PM's and Emails sent to him. IIRC its only him and a mechanic/machineist who run the business so its not like hes got a small army to turn work around quickly.

I would strongly disagree to anyone who says Ben is not committed to his work. Earlier in the year he was working until midnight to get his back log cleared!

i took my inlets to Ben because i knew the work would be spot on. :)

lol im of the personal opinions that problems should not be aired on a public forum, i have heard both good and bad about AWT along with most tuning companys , every one has thier prefered one,
constructive critisism i feel is the best ie.. the work was good if not a little slow, or the customer service was great but i didnt feel i had the promiced outputs.

etc etc
if any one is having work done by any tuning company they will do thier research, pming people that have had experience 1st hand with the people involved,
there is no need to **** people off

Well, I know of at least 1 member who had a engine rebuilt which took over 12 months to do. I'm not knocking Ben as I've never used him,I'm just reiterating what ive read on this forum, so don't shoot the messenger.

Looks like he made a simple statement to me so no action will be taken against him*

On the other hand should this thread deteriorate any further it will be removed.

* - Not that I was the mod that "barred" you.

The way you suck up to him

MarkCup

eh?

My experience has always been PMs responded to promptly answering any random question I might throw at him about tuning/racing etc.

Development of a product takes time, effort, and money. We work on a 1 year concept-to-market cycle in my company, and that's designing the latest Paddington Bear soft toy FFS. Fine tolerances and good "results" mean nothing to us but it still takes that long.

Also, I don't recall ever sucking up to him?

How is saying that i havnt forgotten something you said a threat in any way shape or form mate?

I dont threaten people, as ive said in other threads, theres no point.

Grow up fella.

I was absolutely made up with the work i had done. Genuine, polite and the quality of work was awesome.....

TBH any gains from a manifold match are good, as said they all depend on the original cast! To offer a refund on such hit and miss work is brilliant, not everyone would do that.

Slagging off a company on a car forum? Couldn't you just phone him up and make your feelings known, and discuss a solution?

discussion of issues with tuners is fine imo, but posting saying 'anyone willing to slagg them them off' is out of order.

totally pointless thread by your goodself imo.

makes you look like a plonk as you have notihng to back up your wild claims.

so what if new products haven't been released yet?!

move on!
