Annoyed now, subs still making noise...

Car  TT
ive re grounded both subs, both work perfect when on, and if i put one of them on (right one) then works fine, but if both are on,they still make that "engine noise" type sound i wiggle about cables (eg grounding cable) in the amp, and it works ok, so im guessing its the amp, but you think this can either be repaired, since its prob a loose socket? or covered under warrenty, since its not my fault?

hi mate

have you seperated the power cable and the phono's down differents sides of the car,, also you will get interferance and a build up of impedance added static noise from you engine if you don't. it may also be an earthing problem

there was a thread similar to this the other day i posted the various causes and solutions on there somewhere flick back and have a read;)

Turn your amp gain right down !!! then use the volume control on yur head unit quite high - if your amp gain is high your probably on a very low head unit voloume - do the vice versa of this !! worked for me in my saxo a while back - used to humm on every rev of the engine

the higher you set the variable resisters the more floor noise will be present in the signal your actually suppose to set it up with no music playing having all resisters turned down with the h/u volume around the mid-way point then adjust them all according to the sound from your speakers inc h/u settings;)
