another 182 cat broke!

i took my 182 into the dealers for a few warrenty problems to be sorted one of which being the emmissions light was on, when i phoned up today to see if it was ok to pick the car up they told me i needed a new cat and could i leave the car with them until tomorrow.
i have also asked them to have a look at the front suspension creaking on full lock, my oil leak is also back from the bolts, and a clonking noise from the back when i come off the throttle in 1st & 2nd gear, and a few other minor things
lets hope they sort it all out, but it does'nt fill me with confidence with the cat going after only 10500 mile in 18 months

yeah think so thats part of the way they got the 10bhp.

will a 172 one fit, u wouldnt want renault ordering u a 172 one and chnaging your 182 into a 172 would you

no they cant do that as the 172 has 2 flanges and the 182 has a flange the manifold end and flared end the other, but i would'nt put it past them if they did fit and it was cheaper

It was the improvement to the exhaust manifold on the 182 that gave it an extra 10 hp. Clio 172s also have a sports cat. system.
