another cup crunched

hi peeps,

last wednesday evening on way home some pleasent fellow decided to pull out behind a parked car (coming head on). I fortuantly found a gap in the row of paked cars to my left. However unfortunately didnt stop in time....

BANG!! 30mph in the back of a polo with towbar. Am ok, although I did pass out about 2 minutes after getting out of the car. Thanks to the guy who was driving behind me, as he had stopped to see if I was ok, so was there to catch me as I fell

Anyeway the git who pulled out on me buggered off, leaving me to take a trip to A&E in an ambulance on a spinal board (fook theyre uncomfortable).

Got home and the police were there drinking tea. Fortunately the guy behind me gave his statement so they just breatherlised me and said it was very unlikely they would find the other driver.

So I am left with a smashed up car, increase in insurance and a bad memory.

Just hope the body specialists its gone to, do a good job. They might even fix a few rattles (wishfull thinking).

those spinal boards are terrible, I hated being brought out of my car the other week on one, good luck in getting it all sorted mate, and think yourself lucky it wasnt worse - i am every day.

^^ i do think myself lucky. After watching th top gear where they crashed the megane and did a bit on euro ncap ratings, Im also please i was ina clio. The only injury i had was a bllod blister from my wedding ring

Prob is tho you do that and the law says youre at fault - happened to me once, driving towards a set of red lights which changed to green so carried on not speeding in the clear lane for some pr1ck to change lanes without indicating - straight into the back of him, hardly a dent in his car, him and his dog ugly missus both clamied whiplash and ended up with about 4k whilst my insurance jumped from £300 to a grand. Some ringer of a witness to back him up

yeah both airbags deployed. The ambulance guys thought my head had bounced off thye passenger side of the windscreen cuz it was smashed up. Thankfully it wasnt as i always wear seatbelt - it was the plastic cover to the airbag that hit the windscreen. Apparently they deploy at over 200mph, so quite pleased it didnt hit my face

same happened on my dynamque with passenger airbag, thought it was the poppy coral tho!

goes to show passenger airbag off= new windscreen as well.
