Another stripped weight thread

So I have trawled through various weight threads all seem to have slightly different numbers and opinions.

I was interested to know if anyone has weighed a 182 with similar level of weight reduction to me, or if anyone has any ideas.

So currently/imminently:

Seats front & back etc removed and replaced with 2 x sparco sprint
all carpet and sound deadening removed as well as roof lining

All trim in the back including speakers and roof lining
Doors stripped but speakers retained
fog lights gone in place of air ducts
it will soon be on OZ Ultralegerras 15s (although it will be on 16 Turinis for road and rain)
Steering wheel replaced for an RS non-airbag wheel

I may look at a battery at some point but not sure I can be arsed if it will then require a trickle charger, plus its spenny!



Any thoughts? Should this be under a tonne yet? I feel like a lot has come out but equally not sure its anywhere near 90kg out?

I did similar to yourself (I left the standard passenger seat in, but removed a few engine related things to offset)...and that removed 117kgs from my 172 Cup.

All surplus metal gone
Track door cards
6 point safety devices cage
No air con
Throttle bodies
Small gel battery
Deep dish steering wheel
Brembo 4pot conversion
And me at 82kg
Overall weight 1076kg

I think it was about a quarter of a tank
