hi all, in the process of changing my wishbones, mate is on his hols so no access to ramps and airtools....
so i have desided to do it road side mechanic style.

iv managed to remove most bolts but the the one i cannot get enough push on is the one's inside nearest to the cabin.
sooo, i have tried to undo the TRE ( tie rod end ) but now the nut is stuck and spinning the whole internal ball joint.

how the hell do i remove it now?
as i cannnot spin the nut back on at all lol

I had the same problem when changing mine. I got a jack under the ball joint and jacked it back into the hub. That worked for one side but the other side I had to warm up.

i'll try the trolley jack,

i've already tried the mole grips on TRE, pulling it to one side so the thread catches the hub. but no luck.

last resort, plumbers gas torch altho i dont think it will heat it up enough?

That's all I used to warm mine up with. You'll find its not a metric thread nut though. I put mine back on with I gud amount of lock tight and its been good up to now.

Jacking up, as said above, seems to work 9 times out of 10. Get some pressure on it with the jack and some WD40 and try sudden bursts of undoing it, and also doing it up in bursts helps too I find :)
