another suspension question - fred!

right i was looking at getting 60mm springs from k-tec. what dampers would suit these as i dont want a really harsh ride but i only have a budget of about £300. i dont want to get battered by speed bumps either. it will be for a mk 2 ph 2 1.2 16v.

fred, what did you do to your rear arches (the pic with lots of sparks flyin)!

Yep ET37 is what you need (OZ rims are all ET37 in clio fitment 4x100)

as for shocks TBH the std ones are ok, but if you really want to upgrade then i can only suggest Koni adjustables i think that they cost about £300 all in (cant remember exactly) Spax do them to (i think) but cheaper

In the pic i was grinding off a tiny metal lip that was tearing chunks out of my rear tyres plus i took about 2mm off the arch lip just for clearance!!!

Spax do a spring and damper kit which is -55mm. For the sake of 5mm you may as well get that. Youll have to ask David at k-tec for it though as only the -35mm kit is listed. Its £25 more.

cheers for the help lads thats really sorted my question! fred do you mean you took 2mm off from inside the arch or the outer (visible) part. dont suppose you have any close-up pics do you?

no close up pics, but if youre going to southend in october, then you can have a look then!!!! I took 2mm (approx) off from the inside (towards myself in the pic)
