i know theres loads on here but just to clarify...
the best thing to do with a 182ff is to have no caf attatched and have the old caf 'pointing' towards it? am i right?

note.. the best thing to do without ripping foglights out etc

cheers

There's two CAF's to a standard airbox, one goes to the acoustic valve and one goes to the bracket behind the headlight.

oh yeah sorry, ive removed the one that goes to the bracket behind my headlight and just have the acoustic valve one kinda just pointing at it... is it worth removing that altogether?

I removed mine all together. I doubt the caf provides any cold air unless its being sucked through it by the airbox.

When using a V6 or ph1 airbox that collects air from infront of the battery intake temperatures are only 2-3 degrees over ambient temperature @ 60mph according to JMS's thread.

Well I've got ptfe gaskets gettin fit in the next couple of weeks too.. Which will
keep my inlet temps down even more so I'm thinking now get rid if all the hose altogether?..
