Anthracite Touch Up Paint

  Yaris Hybrid

Sure I have read about people damaging their anthracite wheels before but search didnt find anything useful.

I just noticed a small stone chip on my wheels and of course its bleedin silver under the anthracite colour. Can I get a touch up stick or something?

Its not big kerbing damage. Its just a spot about this size ---> o

no, there is not a touch up, and i went to a local paint specialist and he says he cant make it up either, something to do with the wrong sort of paint !!!!, but if anyone finds different then i will have one

The touch up paint can easily be sourced and is actually a Nissan colour, a mate who runs an impact/dents/chips- away company has done a first class job on a damaged wheel, and i am very fussy!

i got mine done at chips away and it was a perfect match, i only know which spoke it was on cos it was the 2nd to the left of the air valve or i would not know :)

i would strongly recomend doing the same :)

ooooh i was thinking about this the other day

one of my alloys got a little scratch on the edge where they were fitting the tyre =(

there has to be some car colour similar to touch it up, its not noticeable but i know its there.... my rims are that kosei anthracite colour

i could do with some anthracite touch-up paint too - are you sure renault dont make any?

id be suprised as the wheels are quite a common place for scraches/chips.

Washed my car at the weekend, now done over 8,000 miles a good 50% of which must be cross country miles, so I have quite a few small chips on my wheels - no kerbing of course ;-) . Funny, my bog standard 206GTi alloys were in pristine condition after 24,000 miles - not sure if this is to do with the shape or the finish...or maybe both!

Does bug me a little bit - antracite alloys with a sprinkling of salt! Lol.

My chip is on the rear wheel and I dont care what anyone says, the rears definitely get dirtier than the fronts on mine. I reckon they are vulnerable to chips so we need to find out what paint can be used ASAP before the salt gets on them.

my rear wheels seem to get dirtier than the fronts as well - must be something to do with the aerodynamics
