Anti Lock Brakes Sensor?

Car  Clio 2.0 RS 2004
Hi everyone,

For a few months now the brakes have intermittently been acting as if they are in anti lock mode when Im just braking normally in everyday driving. You can feel the anti lock effect thru the pedal when you brake. Im thinking it might be a faulty anti lock brakes sensor? Thoughts?

Check the abs rings first, they usually rust and split.

Yeah ABS rings usually.

If a sensor wasn't working it wouldn't be pulsing through the pedal, it would do nothing. You'd also have a light on the dash typically.

As above, I’ve changed a few reluctor rings on clios.

The rust on the cv joint swells underneath and blows the rusty ring apart.
