anti shcok alpine urgent

alpine unit, dont know if it has anit shcok or whatver but is a newish unit a good 1 at that, cdm sumet, everybump the music gets foooked? urgent help needed, cheers guys. ryan

Might be somethin wrong with it, ive got a Alpine 9812RB cd/mp3 player in my mk2 ph2 dropped -60mm on 16s (pretty solid ride) and never had it jump once?

Mines never jumped either, is it tight in the cage and is the cage tight in the dash?

hmmmm enough... how do u make the cage tighter?! any way of helping it??

Push as many of the metal legs into the space around the dash as far as possible

anymore theorys?! im getting desparet? i read sumwhere bout the angle being a key factor in antishock and it needs to be setup for the right angle? it came out of a hona crx which is flat based as clio is at a fair angle!? any adjustments i can carry out? or any bodgeign i can do to sortt it??? pleeeeeese!

in my mk1 clio my alpine used to jump all the time, put it down to it bein a funn angle in the mk1s, now in my mk2 its never missed a beat an its down 75mm now!

hmmm the joys of having me mini-disk player, 3 years on and no skipping!!

every1 i know thats had a sony cd player it skips like f*ck

anyway m8 looks like ur guna have problems really, errm apart from suggestion a new cd player (which could b ur best bet)

have a look and c if theres anyway u can balance the hu so it sits flat rather than at an angle, its guna b pretty hard though, mite need 2 chip some of the plastic dash round the hu out so u can then get the rite angle then ud prob need sumin behind it and underneath 4 it 2 sit on

2 b honest id sell it and research nxt hu more and check it dont matter about angle it sits at, sorry i cant b of more help m8

cheers mate (oh rsi owner good choice) urm.. i mite get a cd changer which has antishock? does it have to be an alpine on for my alpine hu? where/how would it plug into the hu?

Get a Alpine cd-changer.......The CHA-S634 will play mp3´s too and have one of the best anti-shock around. My Alpine H/U have never jumped and my clio is lowerd -65mm on 17´s, not a RSI thou. The changer will plug in at the back of the H/U (AI-net socket) along with the RCA plugs.

gd idea with the cd changes, can sit nice and flat aswel and then no probs with cds at an angle from the hu, i should really get a cd changer as its anoyin sumtimes not having a cd player,

as others have said go 4 alpine cd changer and it should go straight in2 back of hu, uve said its a newish 1 so shouldnt b any probs

think theres a fair few of us RSi owners on here now
