Any ideas to solve my car issue???

Right, headlight bulb went on Thursday and I went to halfords for a new pne and to get it fitted. its the one on the drivers side and with the air con makes it so hard to get to, also with the Angle eyes there is more wiring in the way. Anyway they refused to fit it, but my managers brother (mechanic at Mercedes) came and fitted one FOC, he said it was tight and not easy to get too, but it worked.

Anyway I drove home and the car was fine, but when I went to it about an hour later the car was stupidly vibrating and it honestly sounds like an impreza. There are loads of popping noises and the engine has started to sound like a diesel. When I try and drive it , it feels like its about to cut out and stall and just moving it to my garage was an effort, it can manage about 10mph tops.

The guy a few doors down reckons it may be the cat or one of the sensors that connects to the manafold. I'm not sure if the mechanic may have loosened something when fitting the bulb.

Does anyone know what the problem may be from my description???

Check for mising plugs also check the coils are pluged in and working.

Cheers will do tomorrow morning. Bloody car! it's my own fault, the washing machine broke last week and we got a washer dryer. £450 in Argos and I got it new for £270. I was quite happy, but knew deep down the powers that be would make me regret it and now the cars broken! I bet if it isn't a case of soemthing being loose it will end up costing me around £180 to fix!!!
