Any other Renaults share alternator with 172/182?

Just a note. I've found an alternator that looks identical on a Ph1 Clio 1.6 - the pulley is different, but looks interchangeable.

It's 110Amp, too!

I will report back when I've had the pulley changed. (I don't have the tools to hold the shaft while undoing the pulley nut - need a long torx bit and a box spanner or something).

Pretty sure the 172 Cup alternator is different to the 182 one... Not 100% certain on that though

You are correct.

Alternator is in an working great. I had it tested before fitting - in perfect health.

That was to convert to cup setup, cheaply.

Cup alternator has a different fixing arrangement to a standard alternator. Only has one bolt hole on the top where the others have 2

Both of the alternators have only 2 holes. Just the position of them is different.
