Despite mine being an original 172, it still puts a smile on my face wherever I go, despite the heavy (annoying) clutch in heavy traffic.

Anyother Mk1 172 owners dislike their heavy/stiff clutch?

£7k well spent, and it lived up to all the reviews!

Just bought my 172 and i would say the clutch is not heavy. Depends what you compare it to mind you? Ive had A classic shape impreza turobo 2000, 2 civic type Rs a PPP bug eye WRX and would have to say that my mrk1 172 is the most fun out the lot. Except when i got the classic de-cated and a dawes valve fitted. Was meggaa fun for a few days then realised the fuel bill

But so much fun!
