Any(throttle) body seen these before

  Nissan Skyline
thats what i though one of the graphs shows 50hp loss :S

now this is using a seq box but i didnt think it would be that much

i though you would loose 20-30 in trans

pulls like a train no matter what the rpm so good times, starts "better" too :D

Yeah should be better with sequential box. What tyres are you using on the rollers? I have had problems in the past with slicks on race cars, can overheat and stick to the rollers giving big losses. I always recommend keeping a set of wheels with scrub road tyres on for dyno testing etc.

I'm glad your happy, it's still a lot of power in anyones books, but I still feel there is some more in there somewhere ;)

I'm not to bothered about what the rollers say as long as te result is an inprovment. I speek to people at events who say they have 220 230 260 280bhp and have followed them on stage, I have problems beating the 280 bhp escort but the lad with the 260 bhp honda civic we match times so I know the car has plenty of go, don't forget this is stage rallying and we are a class leading team.

You should be seeing a big difference between 12deg and 26deg in terms of torque...are you sure these adjustments were being applied?

Slicks will 100% cause the losses to climb, as said, get some road tyres on there next time.

Been looking at these bodies. Interesting read mate :)

What have you done with your blackbird bodies?

sold them with jenvey manifold, member on here has them but i have been told not to tell anyone he has them ;)

12 up to 1500 then going upto 27 at 7500.
maybe next time there is a forum power run at a rolling road I'll tag along then that would compare with other clio's.
think I might do a simple 0-60 timed run with Hutchie in the car with me using a stop watch and we could all compare that measurment instead, think it would be a fairer way of comparing, maybe you tube it as well so we see no cheating;)

Obviously the guy peddling isn't too bad either :) Yes what matters at the end of the day is how the car performs, and if you're happy I'm happy. Best of luck with the rallying, and I think it's great a successful team like yourselves has got our throttles on it. Keep me up to date on how you do :)

My pink rally car is still in std induction and with the lower final drive 5.2 keeps with most of the 2ltr 200+hp stuff in a straight line. Although there are a few really rapid 2 liter cars.

190hp and 850kg Clio

vs

240hp and 1100kg escort / civic

They arent going to pull away much and with your sequential then thats another huge straightline performance advantage. At the last event (MIRA - D'ISIS stages) all the top 205s and Novas had them..!!!!

Drivability is the key from my experience and what i would want. A real comparision on the same engine Jenvey vs AT would be very interesting.

Today we have competed for the first time with the car since we put the new throttle boddies. Now the event was small put there was about ten cars there today that on different events have beaten us, notably 2 darrions, a lotus , Subaru, Bmw and a 205 and to day only 2 cars beat us out of 28, a Darrion and a Lutus. Baering in mind these cars weigh 720 kg ish compared to our 1000kg I dont think we did to bad. :approve:

Bloody nice one!!

I also was sent this youtube video. It's of a chap who works for Brawn GP - his orange mini #145 running our DCOE throttle bodies on his vauxhall 1.4 engine. He was suitably impressed with the improvement to his car,

I'm well please for you. Keep me up to date on how you get on this season!
