Any useful mods that give gains on a 1.2 16v?

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
From my experience, just a waste of time/money.

Having said that I have an induction kit in mine, but its only for the noise.

No noticable gains tbh, in terms of power, but the noise is a good'un ;)

Lowering springs will help the steering as I have found out, sticks to the ground a lot more and is a lot more stable, and makes the car look better!

lol haz the pro

induction kit with decent caf, decat, cat back, suspension and strip and the're little go karts

The induction system on the 1.2s looks very restrictive (Mk3s) I'm not sure if this can be improved upon though to be honest.

For spending little cash I cant really think of much to be honest. Maybe a decat will increase torque a bit. Dont know if heat wrapping the manifold would help at all. I'm just chucking ideas in here anyone welcome to correct me etc...

Decent suspension is probably the best avenue to go down. Try and shift some weight into the back as we all know the clio's are very nose heavy.

Do they make aftermarket cams lol?

I'm out of ideas now lol

I think Mark is taking the piss ;)

Not at all, genuine question.

An 18 yo neighbour's just bought one, and he's looking to me for advice and inspiration LOL

Trying to find him a decent set of 15" rims for it too.

So, no real extra shove available regardless of spend?

Forget any really noisy options as he's my neighbour...can't be doing with all that.

no point in even trying, when i had my powerflow system on myne, i swear it was slower, best bet is 2 leave the engine and exhaust standard and just wak some coileys and yoko prada tyres on, then it will a good fun car.

id just agree with the above.........lightweight wheels (15" superleggeras?...my 16"s are pretty light)........and suspension.........oh and stripping obviously lol....

straight through exhaust seems to let them rev a bit free'er, pointless changing filter, standard has been by far the best for me and ive had viper,k&n,bmc.

Yeah the standard dynamique alloys i have on mine, are so so heavy!!

i think when i first got my 16" superleggeras (195/45).........i weighed one, and weighed a standard dynamique alloy(175/55), the superleggera was nearly half the weight

DIY fitment and cams etc could lead to a fair bit more power spend some more on the internals and you should get decient power but realy for the effort of it your better off getting a bigger engine.
