Any webdesigners - Help

does anyone know why opera is displaying this as if there is padding in the code? It's fine in other browsers (safari and firefox) as you can see.

Haha, you wait to see what a mess IE makes of it! :)

Welcome to the joys of web design... it could be anything, it's a pain in the arse!

^Tell me about it, I'm on my macbook at the minute, not looking forward to getting into uni and trying it on IE. There's nothing in the code to suggest any padding, and i've tried putting code in to set all padding and borders to 0.

Well, if I were you, I'd ignore Opera and make sure IE and Mozilla work as a first call.

As a representation (which I'd say ClioSport is pretty typical).

55.74% of visits are IE7
21.26% of visits are IE6
20.30% of visits are Mozilla/5.0
00.12% of vists are IE5

Opera 9.2 has 0.91% which is even lower than the Yahoo bot! :p
Opera 9.3 has 0.03%
Opera 9.5 has 0.02%

So, make sure IE6/7 and Mozilla work.. then look at others :)

Safari is a good one to test against, as it is very standards based.. but you'll find it displays different to IE/Mozilla a lot!

Is annoying tho :D

^Haha, same here mate. I've got a perfect looking page in safari and firefox, you should see the state of it now in Opera though. looks like a 100 piece jigsaw!
