ok has any1 ever succesfully fixed the leaky sunroof problem on mk1's? can you just replace the rubber seals?

  Renault Clio Mk1 1.4 RT
I did this on Saturday and it p*ssed it down on Saturday night and it hasn't leaked since i sealed it - i know only once but still!!!

Bassically what i did was took the seal out of the sunroof - the rubber one that is bendy - rubbed vaseline on it - put it back in (making sure its tight and not easy to pull off) - sealed thinly around the top and bottom of the seal (where the softer rubber touches the harder plastic) - the sealed the whole of the inside of the sunroof - literally all of the front of the sunroof plastic bit (on the underside of the sunroof)!!

Then i sealed the outside of the car (where the plastic touches the metal - carefully so not to smudge on paint!!

This worked for me - hope its of use to you!!

It looks a bit messy on the underside of the sunroof - but you cant see it any way!! I'll see if i can get some pics up for tomorrow if i can!!
