Hi everyone, John here from Ireland. First off I'd like to say hello and am really enjoying the forum.
I recently got an itch for a Clio 197 or 200 and would appreciate some help if possible. Over here there are not a huge amount of these cars and at the moment there are two available. One is a 2010 Clio 200 which has low mileage and has dealer history BUT, because it's registered after July 2008 is taxed via CO2 emissions....€1200 per year road tax. Ouch. http://cars.donedeal.ie/cars-for-sale/renault-clio-2-0-rs-200-bhp/8326107
The other is a 2008 Nimbus Grey model with Recaros, and because it is pre July 2008 is taxed via engine size, so €710 per year. After a bit of digging it came up on here that Sir Dave had previously owned it (briefly) I was wondering if anybody knew of the car after that as after I did a HPI check it came back as a Cat D write off. Is there any way of knowing the extent of the damage? Also, I'd really appreciate any help or info on these cars as I'm still a Renault virgin. Please find the link for the ad on Donedeal and also Sir Daves for sale post on here:
